- Tearing Down Your Walls -
Have you ever had the kind of conversation where you're dying to open up and let a whole bunch of emotions out and just vent and cry a bit, but because you're so afraid of what the other person would think or worried that you'll just annoy them your emotional wall rears its ugly head and you just say something along the lines of: "It's ok, I'll be fine, I'm just overreacting"..?
Yep, thought so.
- Making Time Count -
I have many strengths, but time management has never been one of them.
At school I was never the kid who had all their homework and assignments up to date, or finished things long before they were due. Oh no, I was more of the "let's leave starting all of this to the very last second and get to a point where I start stressing over whether or not I'll actually even get it finished in time" kind. You'd think doing that a couple of times would make you want to change your ways a bit, but no, no matter how many times I told myself that by the next test, assignment or exam I would be on top of what needed to be done it never changed.
I remember distinctly not even beginning to study for one of my history essays until the hour before I was meant to be writing it...(needless to say that wasn't one of the best marks I've received).
- Mental Health Awareness: Depression -
May is Mental Health Awareness Month (well in the US anyway), so I thought what better time to shine a light on my own personal struggles and triumphs with my mental health.
I'm going to delve into some pretty deep topics and emotions, so fair warning for those of you reading this that may be suffering yourself or be triggered by some of my words.
These topics are neither easy to talk about, or read about, so please, if you find yourself struggling, stop reading immediately.
If you or a person you know is struggling with symptoms of mental illness please visit Beyond Blue for more on where you can find help, contact your local GP for a Mental Health Assessment, or call Lifeline Australia on 13 11 14.

- Let's Talk About Love -
Ladies, have you ever imagined what it would be like for a super gorgeous, slightly older, tall, dark, handsome Italian to take a romantic interest in you? To have him share his deepest thoughts and feelings with you and ask about yours in return...to have him recite Italian poetry to you in that beautifully silky accent of his and sing you the most beautiful love songs of all time..?
Well, it’s happened to me, and let me tell you; it is among the worst “wooing” I’ve ever experienced in my life.
- The Truth About Moving Away -
This morning I forced myself to get out of my house and walk to a local café; to sit, drink, eat a muffin and write.
If I didn't force myself I would've probably spent the day on the couch, or on my bed...just existing.
